Saturday 1st July 2017 – The day Penistone Beavers descended upon the quaint seaside town of Robin Hood’s Bay.

All in 39 Beavers went on the trip, taking a coastal treasure hunt in the morning, which included finding facts about the town, and having a general walk around.

Sandcastle competitions, ball games, kite flying and paddling in the rock pools were all activities we took part in in the afternoon on the beach, miraculously scattering the general public until we had our own private part of the beach! No idea why!

Yet another fantastic event provided by the Penistone Beaver leader team; lots of planning and sandwich making went into the weekend, not to mention making an order for 60 people at a chip shop!

Maybe this is just the start, and more is to come; an annual Beaver Seaside Trip wouldn’t be a bad idea from what i’ve seen today?
