This week:

Castor Beavers practised pre-camp skills

Last Tuesday evening, Beavers worked in teams to get ready for the Beaver camp on  Saturday 16th June. They spent the evening working out how to put up their own tents as this will form part of the programme for the Back to Basics camp

Boomer Beavers built scarecrows

On Wednesday evening, Boomer Beavers worked in two groups to build scarecrows for the Millhouse Green Scarecrow Festival in a few weeks time. Beavers were tasked with choosing pantomime characters and then using their imagination to produce a scarecrow to donate as part of a scarecrow trail. They chose to do the Wizard of Oz and therefore a ‘Tin Man’ and a ‘Scarecrow’ are on their way to the event.

We also welcomed two new Beavers to our colony.

Bella Vista Cubs visited Laser Tag

Bella Vista cubs enjoyed a fun filled adventure at Danger Zone, an outdoor Laser tag centre.  They split into two teams and competed in a number of games in and around the woods, having lots of fun along the way.

Enigma went for a paddle

Enigma Scouts went for a walk and a paddle at Langsett reservoir this week. Looks like they had lot’s of fun!

Alegre

On Tuesday evening, Alegre Cubs went to Springvale Community Gardens to help out and learn more about gardening.

Raptors

Thursday evening saw Raptor cubs completing some team working activities on the bank of the river Don.

Viernes

Friday night was ‘I’m a Celebrity’ night with rounds of questions followed by tasting a variety of different foods. Most Scouts were really brave and tried all the foods on offer; cows stomach, tongue and heart alongside a few other bits.

And finally:

Don’t forget to look out for one of our “Fast Forward” posts on Sunday 3rd June; we’ll use that to share with you any reminders and key information for the following week.
