We were recently awarded £2,000 by Groundworks and TESCO to complete a Conservation Project around the scout hut and the Pennine trail adjacent to the hut. This weekend we will start that project.
Scouts and Explorers will be working all weekend carrying out various jobs including:
  • Ground clearance of car park, grounds and banking
  • Clear banking and TPT of rubbish from Hut to community hall stairs
  • Install bird boxes, bee boxes and hedgehog boxes
  • Install hanging bird tables
  • Install new planters
If you fancy getting involved and can spare a few hours, please come down to the Scout Hut between 9:30am and 5:00pm Saturday & Sunday.

This is a new initiative by the group, the BOOT BANK and WATERPROOF WARDROBE will be situated in the foyer of the Scout Hut. All waterproofs and boots welcome!
